Reading the IPCC Synthesis Report: Summary for Policymakers

About

A video reading of the Summary for Policymakers for the Synthesis Report of the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) on climate change science. Shot in one take, the video reading addresses the intersection of climate change and questions of political participation.

The Synthesis Report is the last installment of the Fourth Assessment Report, the most recent report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The Summary for Policymakers is a synopsis of the reports intended to aid policymakers. During the approval process, government delegations have the opportunity to make line-by-line changes to the summary, with approval from the 'Lead Authors'. The previous three installments examined the physical science basis for climate change, the impacts of climate change, and solutions to climate change (1).
